One year after the tragic death of Cinzia Pinna, the lawyers and family of the young woman killed in Conca Entosa by Emanuele Ragnedda speak out. The Pinna family remembers their victim: "Cinzia would have wanted to live, she would have wanted to face and resolve her problems, she would have wanted to be happy. She had the potential to achieve this because she was intelligent, lively, curious, sensitive, and empathetic; she was beautiful and sociable , and supported by a large, hard-working family. She loved to travel; she lived in Australia, the US, England, and other countries where she worked and specialized. She spoke many languages, and with each experience she made new friends who would support her throughout life, even on the difficult journey of quitting psychoactive substances. Her death occurred in the most tragic and painful way."

That evening, the letter continues, Cinzia "was in distress, she needed help, and instead she encountered her murderer. The cruelty of destroying a person at their most vulnerable moment makes her loss even more painful and difficult to accept."

Just as "the anguish of those 12 days, from her disappearance to the discovery of her body, will never be overcome. They plunged not only her family but entire communities into a nightmare, mobilizing hundreds of volunteers to search for her, while her killer not only hid her body but also diverted the search. We will remember her at the Mass to be held in Castelsardo Cathedral on September 13th at 7:00 PM."

The lawyers for the family members, Antonella and Nino Cuccureddu, who are civil parties in the trial, state: "This was a particularly brutal crime. She was struck by three bullets in the face while she was sitting on a sofa, and the shooter was standing in front of her," according to the RIS (Investigative Reporting Unit) in Cagliari. Her body was found without clothing from the waist down, while her phones and backpack were never found, nor did the perpetrator have them recovered."

" The numerous and ever-changing versions of events offered by the defendant are shocking, " the lawyers continue.
