Outrage to the statue of Padre Pio on the outskirts of Sinnai. Someone indulged in an absurd gesture, placing a cigarette on the statue's lips, dropping the rosary and putting a bucket on him as a hat.
The statue is located in the Sant'Isidoro district, also protected by a green space that has been cared for for years by the residents themselves who, once again, immediately intervened to put everything in place.
Words of condemnation for the episode came from numerous citizens and from the parish priest Don Sandro Piludu who said he was sorry for what had happened, defining it "an act done without reflection, without meaning, without the slightest respect for what this statue represents. years ago by the citizens of the Sant'Isidoro district ".
Investigations are now underway to trace the author of this reckless gesture.
