The preliminary investigations into the murder of Alessio Madeddu, the 52-year-old chef from Teulada, found lifeless at the end of last October in front of his restaurant in Porto Budello, in Teulada, have closed.

The notice of conclusion of the preliminary investigation was served on the only suspect, Angelo Brancasi , 43, a baker from Sant'Anna Arresi.

The deputy prosecutor Rita Cariello , owner of the file, complains to Brancasi - who after the arrest had confessed to his responsibilities - the multiple aggravated voluntary homicide which - in the event of indictment - provides for the maximum penalty of life imprisonment .

In addition to premeditation, the Prosecutor also hypothesizes the aggravating circumstance of cruelty and that of futile and abject motives.

According to the investigators, the 43-year-old would have killed Madeddu - also known for having participated in the TV show of chef Alessandro Borghese, "Quattro Restaurants" - due to a relationship that the cook would have undertaken with his wife, an employee of the ichthy tourism managed by Madeddu himself. .

The latter had been found by the carabinieri in front of the restaurant entrance, in a pool of blood , a hatchet a few meters away.

According to the report drawn up at the time by the coroner Roberto Demontis, the chef was stabbed repeatedly, then hit violently in the head with a blunt object and finally run over by the car.

Now the baker's defense will have twenty days to study the file and present documents and briefs or have the suspect questioned again, before the prosecutor Cariello formalizes the request for indictment.
