Three reports for a series of thefts committed in Castiadas, which involved several cars parked on the coast. This is the result of a check by the Carabinieri of San Vito, who identified what had been stolen inside a Fiat Ducato camper stopped and checked in Sant'Elmo.

On board the vehicle were a 53-year-old Montenegrin citizen, a 43-year-old Bosnian citizen, both already known to the police, and their minor son born in 2009, all homeless. Suspicious of the behavior of the occupants and their police records, the Carabinieri proceeded to search the vehicle: inside they found a suitcase containing clothing items of sizes and models not compatible with the three occupants, 5,700 euros in banknotes of various denominations hidden in various compartments of the camper, three watches, a gold chain and other objects of various kinds .

The Carabinieri immediately believed that the material was the proceeds of thefts committed in the previous days on vehicles parked on the coast. All the objects found inside the camper were seized. Then, through subsequent investigations, the further discovery: two German tourists recognized some personal effects . The theft dated back to May 29, when two suitcases were stolen from a car parked at Punta Molentis. The couple was given back a platinum ring and cash for 1,245 euros, corresponding exactly to the stolen amount and, moreover, in the same denominations of money reported.

The 43-year-old driver of the camper did not have a license: this is why the decision was made to seize the vehicle. The three suspects were reported at large, with the hypothesis of receiving stolen goods. And further checks are underway to ascertain the possible involvement of the group in other thefts that occurred in the area .
