An 85-year-old man is hospitalized in serious condition after being injured when he fell from the roof of his home .
The accident occurred in Castiadas , in the Olla Speciosa area.
According to an initial reconstruction of the incident, the elderly man was carrying out some repair work when he lost his balance, falling to the ground from about two meters .
An ambulance from 118 then intervened on the spot, but - given the serious condition of the pensioner - the doctors asked for the help of the helicopter rescue that transported the injured person to the hospital in red code.
The carabinieri of the Compagnia di San Vito are also in action.
