Tragedy almost occurred on the new Orientale Sarda when a large deer ran onto the highway and crashed into a Panda with two girls of about 30 years old on board.

The two young women, after the alarm, were immediately rescued and taken to the hospital. They did not suffer serious injuries but bruises in various parts of the body and a lot of fear.

The animal died on the roadway shortly after the accident. Ambulances and Carabinieri from the San Vito Company were on site to carry out the legal investigations.

A veterinarian and the Forestry Corps also intervened to recover the carcass.

It was a huge risk on a busy road during this time of year.
