Castiadas, a flight school is born: «A cutting-edge structure»
Instructor Paolo Contini: «A dream come true, today there is a great demand for pilots»A flight school for airline pilots.
The training courses run by the Avio Sardinia Academy have started at the Castiadas airfield.
"After many years we have finally made this dream come true," commented Paolo Contini, one of the founders of the school. "The Province of Southern Sardinia, as well as the entire Island, can now boast a cutting-edge educational structure, intended both for young people who wish to embark on a career as pilots, and for those who wish to dedicate themselves to flying as a recreational activity."
The Castiadas airfield was founded in 1995, thanks to the initiative of Efisio Contini (now 78 years old), a former emigrant and flight enthusiast, who, once he returned to Sardinia, decided to make his dream come true together with his son Paolo.
"Today there is a great demand for pilots - adds Contini - of course, it is not an easy path, but now even here in Sarrabus there is the possibility for young people to attend a flight school. In the future there are many job opportunities".
