The community of Castelsardo celebrates another century-old milestone with the new centenarian Maria Tugulu , who blew out one hundred candles today. Surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren , she is embraced by the entire town.

"It's an honor and a joy to extend our heartfelt birthday wishes to our fellow citizen," said Mayor Maria Lucia Tirotto, who couldn't miss this festive occasion. "One hundred years isn't just a number," she continued, "but a treasure trove of memories, wisdom, and courage. But what makes this day even more special is seeing Maria surrounded by the embrace and love of her large and beautiful family, the most beautiful testimony of a life lived to the full."

For Castelsardo, Signora Maria is not only the historical memory of the area, but a pillar of affection that spans generations. "Dear Aunt Maria, on behalf of the entire Municipal Administration and the citizens, I thank you for the example you set. We hope you continue to smile like this, protected by the warmth of your loved ones who proudly celebrate with you today," the mayor said.
