A cowardly act has once again wounded the memory of Beatrice Arru, the 16-year-old girl who died in 2021 in a car accident in Carbonia.
Someone removed the flowers placed at the spot where the girl lost her life, also taking away the ceramic vase that held that token of affection and remembrance.
The incident was reported by her mother, Romina Selis , who shared her grief and anger on social media in an indignant post. "Those flowers weren't just flowers," she wrote, "they were tears, memories, and the love of those who still mourn Beatrice today. And you moved them, demonstrating that you have not a shred of respect for death, for pain, or for the memory of a young life cut short."
The vase, the woman explains, was found nearby, abandoned on the side of the road. "A cowardly act, like the person who did it. Hopefully, no one will ever know who you are," she added, addressing the perpetrators of what she calls an act of utter inhumanity.
Beatrice's memory, however, will not be erased by such an episode: "You remove the vase and I will continue to place it," the woman reiterated.
