A shelter for dogs and cats has been seized in Carbonia .

The provision was adopted after the checks carried out by the Investigative Nucleus of the Iglesias Forestry Inspectorate which identified the structure built in the absence of building permits and landscape authorisations .
The entire area (approximately 3,000 square meters) is subject to landscape restrictions as it falls within the protective zone of 150 meters from the banks of the Rio San Milano. She was subjected to preventive criminal seizure.

The precautionary measure concerned a total of about twenty small buildings, divided between prefabricated sheds used as accommodation for dogs and cats and storage/warehouse, and two mobile homes, one of which was intended for residential use and the other used as a clinic/ quarantine zone.

All animals will continue to be cared for by volunteers.

Violations of building and landscaping legislation were alleged against the owners of the land with the obligation, in the event of a conviction, to restore the state of the places.
