Since the early hours of the morning, firefighters, local police, Barracellare company, and civil protection associations of Capoterra have been working to provide assistance to dozens of residents trapped by the storm surge that has invaded every street in the condominium .

"Two-thirds of Maddalena residents have water on their doorsteps, and several basements are flooded," says Giovanni Ruggeri, administrator of the Maddalena condominium . "The situation is truly worrying, and forecasts indicate further deterioration in the coming months. To free a disabled person from their home, we had to use a pedal boat, as the water level on that street was too low."
