A night of fires in Capoterra, where three separate blazes kept firefighters busy all night. There's little doubt about the origin of the flames: investigators believe all three were started deliberately.

The emergency began around 11pm, when the patrol of the Capoterra barracellare company, the volunteers of the Grusap association and the firefighters intervened to put out the flames that had caused concern among the residents of Via Teulada.

No sooner had the last burning embers been extinguished than the emergency moved to Via Emanuela Loi, likely targeted by the same arsonists who had started the attack shortly before.

Subsequently, Barracelli, firefighters, and Grusap volunteers concentrated their efforts in the Bau Mannu area, to put out the third fire started in a few hours: the emergency was over shortly after 3 a.m., when the last area targeted by the arsonists was also cleared.

The three fires affected only uncultivated fields: in the next few hours, the barracelli will carry out investigations to determine whether the owners had complied with their obligation to keep their land free of weeds.
