Fabio Concas , 26, was sentenced to 14 years in prison after confessing to the murder of Alessandro Cambuca , the 27-year-old stabbed to death in October 2024 in Assemini in a house where the two were spending the night with other friends, after attending the Santa Greca festival in Decimomannu .

Today, during the reply hearing in the summary trial, the prosecutor reduced the requested sentence from the initial 17 years and 4 months to 14 years and 8 months, but the judge ruled for a 14-year prison sentence, granting mitigating circumstances (the 26-year-old had confessed and had the murder weapon recovered).

Concas's lawyer, Franco Villa, who during the trial had emphasized that a partial mental health defect had not been taken into account (the defense's expert report had supported a reduced capacity), will wait to hear the reasons before filing a possible appeal.
