Those held on New Year's Eve in Piazza Yenne, in Cagliari, were not peaceful celebrations. The owner of the surviving newspaper shop, at the foot of the statue of Carlo Felice, this morning found the sign torn down and the windows smashed by some uncivilized person who during the night found nothing better to do than destroy a commercial business.
"I don't think the choice to move the New Year's concert to a less central space helped in organizing security in the city," says Francesco Spanu, representative of newsagents through Fenagi.
