Mariano Olla , the 16-year-old found dead yesterday morning around 7am, was at the beach party, lying dead in the water, a few metres from the shore of the small beach in the Cuore car park, on the beach between the small port of Su Siccu and the seaside promenade of Sant'Elia .

This was ascertained by the investigators of the Flying Squad of the Cagliari police headquarters, coordinated by Davide Carboni, after having listened to the boys, both minors and adults, who attended the party with Mariano . This was reported by the Ansa agency, recalling that the autopsy, scheduled for Monday at the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari, will be able to resolve other doubts, first of all that on the causes of death, then the results of the toxicological and histological tests will be decisive.

The whole party night still needs to be reconstructed – Ansa continues –: certainly no one raised the alarm about Mariano's disappearance, no one provided assistance, just as any possible alcohol and drug abuse will have to be ascertained .

The body of the 16 year old, originally from Cagliari but resident for some years in the hinterland, in Sestu, was discovered in a few metres of water by some fishermen and the first bathers on the beach, the same ones who had reported a party on the same beach which had started at night and continued until dawn.

On the body - Ansa further emphasizes - no apparent sign of violence: Mariano would have moved away from the group alone, reached the shore and after walking a few meters he fell into the water perhaps due to illness, where he was later found lifeless . Many questions still need to be clarified: why did the boy move away alone? Did anyone see the body? Why did no one raise the alarm? If it were confirmed that someone noticed the body in the sea, the charge of failure to provide assistance would be triggered.
