State of agitation for the workers of Tacnocasic, the waste disposal plant of Macchiareddu controlled by Cacip. The decision was taken this morning by the union representatives during a meeting.

The workers, reads a press release, "are worried about the decommissioning of some plants, the consequent reduction of the company's value chain and the lack of planning for the next plant shutdown days, due to the revamping".

The note underlines "the non-sharing of the various company reorganisations, which have taken place over the years, without any preliminary discussion, since the minimum industrial relations have disappeared".

The unions, also to avoid "negative repercussions on the service to citizens", are asking for the immediate opening of a discussion table that leads to shared solutions between the institutions, the shareholder who owns the plants and the workers' representatives.

Otherwise "we will be forced against our will to initiate other and further actions to protect workers as expressly provided for by the provisions of the law on essential public services".
