Drama in the early afternoon today in viale Poetto in Cagliari: a 45-year-old motorist died after being taken ill while he was driving his car , in the direction of viale Diaz.

He had managed to pull over and ask for help. An off-duty carabiniere and an Army soldier arrived to help him, while waiting for the ambulance, they gave him heart massage.

All useless, unfortunately: the 118 doctors continued with the resuscitation attempts, but the heart of the forty-five year old stopped beating forever. His body was covered with a white sheet.

The carabinieri were also on site.
