The eventful episode of yesterday evening in Piazza Matteotti in Cagliari ended with the arrest of a twenty-one-year-old Tunisian for aggravated robbery. The young man allegedly attempted to steal a bike from a rider, originally from Pakistan, provoking the victim's reaction and the intervention of an off-duty finance officer .
The Tunisian, according to the reconstruction made by the Flying Squad agents who intervened after the report of the fight and the theft, used the spray to escape: he was reached by the Pakistani himself and immediately after by the police . The prosecutor on duty ordered the arrest, validated in the summary trial this morning. The young Tunisian was released with the obligation to sign.
The episode occurred yesterday at around 6:30 p.m. The financier intervened to separate the two foreigners. No one was injured. The rapid arrival of the Flying Squad patrols was decisive: the officers stopped the young man accused of the theft, which later became robbery due to the assault and the use of spray.
