New year and precarious teachers immediately in the square, to ask for a chair and a better future for the school. The appointment has been set for tomorrow, Friday 3 January, in Piazza Garibaldi in Cagliari from 10:30. "It is a problem that affects everyone", explain the teachers in a note. "The future of Sardinia passes through a stable and quality school, and we can no longer accept choices that undermine the foundations of our educational system".
The first request is the immediate stabilization of precarious teachers, with a categorical no to training by Indire , the National Institute for Documentation, Innovation and Educational Research. "Not only does it represent a further obstacle for those who have worked in schools for years, but it also provides for the normalization of foreign qualifications, often corresponding to paths of dubious legitimacy," the precarious teachers denounce. "These end up damaging teachers who have obtained qualifications through rigorous and transparent paths."
The second request is the opening of the exhausted merit rankings for the Pnrr 1 competition "to ensure a progressive and transparent call for teachers already trained and selected". But the "no to Pnrr 2 is emphasized, a competition that is being launched despite a third of the positions still being vacant". Then there is another objective, all Sardinian: "We ask the Regional Council, given the alarming data on the birth rate and the territorial specificity, to intervene to reform the Special Statute in order to obtain the same powers as Trentino Alto Adige on the recruitment of teachers and on the overall management of the school ".
