The search for Martina Lattuca, the 49-year-old shop assistant from Cagliari who disappeared on Tuesday afternoon after an excursion to Calamosca, in Cagliari , has been suspended for the moment.

The search conducted yesterday by the Coast Guard, firefighters, and Mountain Rescue, including the use of dog units and drones, in the area where the woman's car was found and the area where her backpack containing her documents and a shoe were found, yielded no further useful information. There was no new trace of the clerk who worked at a bookstore.

The search has been suspended today, and a meeting is scheduled at the Prefecture, which has triggered the provincial missing persons plan, which will decide how the investigation will proceed. Meanwhile, the Carabinieri are continuing their investigation to reconstruct the last movements of the 49-year-old woman, who apparently did not show up for work on Tuesday, the day she disappeared.
