"The city of Cagliari, thanks to a strong collaboration with the President of the Region, with the competent departments and with the Regional Council, can count on the start of important redevelopment interventions for the benefit of the community ." This was announced by Mayor Massimo Zedda, just over 48 hours after what was stated - among other things - about the project for the new stadium and the reopening of the Amphitheatre .
In detail, 2 million will be allocated for the reconstruction of the Bastione parapets and the restoration of the fixtures and balustrades of the Saint Remy bastion, on the covered promenade side. "A place that has already started to flourish again thanks to some cultural and entertainment events that have attracted a large audience, such as the recent Marina Cafè Noir festival", recalls the mayor. Among the other historic places in the city of Cagliari affected by the maintenance work are the Auditorium, the theatre in Piazza Dettori and Villa Muscas .
"We are also identifying an uncultivated area to redevelop to be dedicated to the figure of Aldo Moro, statesman and former Prime Minister, assassinated by terrorism," Zedda anticipates . "We will also complete the work on the sports facilities in via Crespellani in Su Planu, on the football field of the Gigi Riva football school and on the roof of the Church of Sant'Elia, and to secure the building used as an oratory of the parish of San Sebastiano in San Benedetto. Interventions that will be followed and described during our administration."
