The wounds of the New Year's Eve massacre in Crans-Montana are still bleeding. Just over a month after the tragedy that killed 41 people in Switzerland, Cagliari is preparing to tighten security in public venues and entertainment businesses. Against this backdrop, Cagliari's prefect, Paola Dessì , has announced the launch of a review of increased security in establishments, in line with a recent directive from the Ministry of the Interior. The goal is to avoid risky situations and ensure adequate safety conditions for both workers and customers, who are often very young, as in the case of the "Le Constellation" bar.

The issue will be addressed tomorrow, February 3, during the meeting of the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety, called to review the situation at the provincial level and define a shared strategy. The discussion will focus not only on controls, but also on compliance with regulations and the responsibility of business owners. The involvement of trade associations is also expected, called upon to collaborate to further raise awareness among business owners about compliance with regulations and safety measures. Emanuele Frongia, president of FIPE Southern Sardinia, also spoke on the issue. Following the tragedy in Switzerland, he forcefully reiterated the need to call on business owners and regulatory bodies to share responsibility, urging "a stop to fireworks and demanding strict regulations against illegal vendors."

The Committee's agenda also includes a focus on the city centre , where the concentration of clubs and commercial activities makes the balance between nightlife and safety more delicate.
