Cagliari, cars against bikes: «The wrong direction cycle path: it's dangerous»

A bad bump, but nothing serious. The point, however, becomes safety on cycle paths in Cagliari. Raising the problem is Ettore Businco, candidate for city councilor with Giuseppe Farris' CiviCa24.

The former councilor publishes a photo of an accident that occurred this morning in via dei Giudicati, at the intersection with via Giudice Guglielmo: a car hit a cyclist who was passing in the reserved lane, causing him to fall to the ground.

According to what was reported by Businco "the driver of the car leaving via Giudice Guglielmo did not see the cyclist because he was inclined to turn his attention to his right where the main flow of traffic flows".

It is not spontaneous to «look to your left, because the cycle path is oriented in the opposite direction to that of general circulation. I've always said it: it's a very dangerous cycle path."
