Cagliari: A surprise at the metro construction site: remains of a city wall discovered.
Work was suspended today but will resume on Monday according to schedule.

Cagliari's Via Roma will see another revolution. Starting Monday, the central lane (between Piazza Repubblica and Piazza Matteotti) will be closed for metro work. It's precisely in Piazza Matteotti, where ARST is building the terminus, that the city's past reemerges.
The remains of a city wall have been discovered. The Superintendency is currently investigating and will conduct the necessary investigations in the coming days.
There's no cause for alarm at the construction site: work was suspended today but will resume on Monday according to schedule.
