Three damaged vehicles and a lot of fear. This is the result of what happened Sunday morning in Cagliari , in the San Michele neighborhood, where unknown individuals shot through the window of a CTM bus with a compressed air gun , while two other vehicles were hit with rocks . The incident occurred around 1:45 PM: a bus from line 9 and two from line 1 were targeted , in the area between the cemetery and Via Is Cornalias . In one of the three cases, the vehicle was hit by the bullet while it was moving, shattering the window.

Alerted by CTM Cagliari staff, the Carabinieri responded to the scene and began an investigation to identify the perpetrators. The company has also filed a complaint with the police headquarters.

" There were no injuries among passengers or staff : this remains the most important aspect. This does not detract from the fact that what happened is a matter of serious concern," stated CTM President Fabrizio Rodin. "Damaging public transport vehicles is an attack on an essential community service, provided with collective resources. We trust in the work of law enforcement, whom we thank for their prompt intervention. Our vehicles are equipped with video surveillance and dashcam systems: the recordings will be made fully available to investigators for their investigations."
