Cagliari: 14 kilos of marijuana found in the trunk: 45-year-old employee arrested

He was driving around with 14 kilos of marijuana in his car , hoping the vacuum packing would mask the smell. But he was betrayed by the intense heat, the small trunk, and the Carabinieri's keen eye.
A 45-year-old man was arrested in Cagliari by Carabinieri officers from the local Carabinieri Radiomobile Unit, along with colleagues from the San Bartolomeo station. The officers stopped the man, an unsuspecting employee , for a routine traffic check, but immediately detected an odor inside the car. They asked the 45-year-old to inspect the trunk, and the man's initial calmness quickly gave way to obvious nervousness.
When they opened the trunk, the smell became increasingly stronger and the Carabinieri, having opened a wooden box that was inside a package, found 19 vacuum-packed packages containing 14 kilos of marijuana .
After the usual formalities, the man was taken to Uta prison . The seized marijuana will be analyzed by the RIS.
