The occasion was the inauguration of the new information point for the Tharros archaeological site. In reality, however, many new developments were announced, including the start of construction of the long-awaited bike path from Cabras to Tharros. It was also announced that a 3,000-square-meter mega-depot will be built in the hamlet of Solanas to preserve archaeological finds, available to the entire province of Oristano. In San Giovanni di Sinis, the "Sistema integrato del Sinis – Grande Progetto Mont'e Prama" project was presented, a strategic project for promoting the Sinis area as a cultural hub of regional, national, and international importance, thanks to the €26,450,000 allocated by the Region.

Also present was Regional Councillor for Planning, Giuseppe Meloni: "We are entering the operational phase of a strategy developed together with the local area and supported by a significant investment in which we have believed from the very beginning," Meloni explained. "The Sinis region represents one of Sardinia's most significant areas for cultural, archaeological, and environmental heritage. With this investment, we want to consolidate a path that connects culture, research, training, innovation, and quality hospitality, helping to improve the area's competitiveness and its attractiveness."

The project involves many valuable sites: the Giovanni Marongiu Civic Museum, the archaeological area of Mont'e Prama, the Tharros temple, the San Salvatore hypogeum, and the Spanish tower of San Giovanni di Sinis.

Cabras Mayor Andrea Abi: "This project represents a special opportunity to strengthen the process of enhancing the archaeological and cultural heritage of the Sinis region through new infrastructure, services, and accessibility initiatives. Our foundation isn't simple, but it's special. It's organized like a true public body, complete with its own technical and administrative offices. We wanted this model. And the results are visible. Years ago, when establishing the foundation, the Municipality focused on itself and turned to a third-party entity, with the goal of boosting the local area."
