An 80-year-old pensioner, Salvatore Antonio Carta, originally from Esporlatu and resident in Bultei, lost his life in a road accident that occurred on the Sp 10, towards Bono.

The incident occurred on Thursday morning at 11:30 a.m. The man was traveling alone, not at high speed, but he lost control of his Panda, perhaps due to illness, and ended up in a field, crashing into a pole.

The air ambulance was on site.

His condition immediately appeared serious, and the intervention of the 118 health workers was useless. The legal investigations were carried out by the Carabinieri of Bono and Bultei.
