The Brotzu maniac strikes again. A radiology technician was harassed on Tuesday evening shortly before 8:00 PM. She was on the ground floor when she was approached and chased by a threatening man, who followed her to the women's locker room. There, the woman managed to enter unharmed, lock the door, and then call for help. But by the time her colleagues arrived, the maniac had already fled.
This isn't the first similar incident. In September, an unidentified man broke into the Cardiology department, targeted a healthcare assistant, and, wearing a lab coat and posing as a doctor, groped a bedridden patient . He also managed to escape without being identified; the police are investigating.
The hypothesis is that the perpetrator of the attack is the same. The hospital, however, is requesting increased security.
"The incident," write the Uil-FP workers' safety representatives, "understandably caused the worker a very serious state of shock and distress, highlighting an unacceptable dangerous situation that affects the entire workforce working in these areas."
The repeated harassment "unequivocally demonstrates the persistence of a total permeability and lack of access control in internal areas and in the connecting routes to Floor 0, the serious exposure to the risk of aggression or intrusion for healthcare workers, often forced to move in isolated environments without physical surveillance or rapid alarm systems," Uil-FP adds, "and the violation of the rules that require employers to take all measures to ensure the safety of workers."
Following the first reports of harassment, Director General Maurizio Marcias had stepped up surveillance. But the maniac returned.
