Constant training, the desire to improve and the ability to overcome difficult moments have characterized not only the career but also the life of Tore Erittu , former Italian and Mediterranean light heavyweight champion and now a coach who teaches not only boxing but also how to face life.
This afternoon Tore Erittu met the Under 16 rossoblù boys at the Vanni Sanna stadium as part of the Sef Torres Project created by the Sef Torres Foundation. The meeting was also attended by the president of the Club Stefano Udassi, the president of the Foundation Umberto Carboni, the Head of the Youth Sector Luca Raineri and the Head of Communication Filippo Migheli. The theme of the meeting focused on the concept of sacrifice and renunciation in the world of football and sport.
The boxer said: « When I was little and in the national team I was in Assisi and there was nothing. I tore my cruciate ligament and had problems with the then national coach Damiani. I overcame many difficult moments and difficulties that today have led me to be what I am. I faced heart problems and lost important people in my life. My first defeat as a professional changed me inside».
Tore Erittu told the boys: «Be masters of your time. In sports it is essential to set goals and believe in them to the end. To do so you have to be there with your head and want to improve every day because talent is not enough and you need sacrifices and respect for the rules. It takes commitment, little superficiality, you win and lose as a team, never blame your teammate otherwise success will not come. Choose who to be with, always, and do not be afraid to be with the weak who can give you great strength. Today I teach the boys to fight for their dreams because in life nothing is easy and you have to sweat for it».
