Disturbing episode this morning in Bottidda, in the bridge that passes over the provincial road 84, which connects several towns of the Goceano with Nuoro.

At about 9 am, a heavy vehicle carrying an excavator, not respecting the 4.5 meter high signs, violently hit the bridge itself, clearly damaging the structure. The driver who was driving the vehicle did not stop and is wanted by the traffic police and other law enforcement agencies.

The technicians of the province are evaluating the considerable damage created.

"A very serious episode that leaves us stunned - says Giovanni Milia, manager of the Province of Sassari, responsible for the north-west road network -. We are currently evaluating the appropriate measures. Most likely both in the bridge and in the provincial road below the traffic will proceed in direction single alternate, but we will know how to be more precise in the next few hours ".
