The city of Bosa has been in shock since yesterday following the very serious incident that struck the Pinna family , one of the most well-known and respected in the community.

Paolo Pinna , 42, who had been receiving treatment at the local health authority's mental health center for some time, killed his father, Giuseppe, a 78-year-old pensioner, by repeatedly hitting him with a screwdriver . The attack may have occurred while the man was administering medication to his son, and the intervention of emergency responders, who were promptly alerted by the victim's wife, Maddalena Morittu, who heard the screams from the next room and called 911, was in vain .

In the streets, bars, and shops, the atmosphere is one of disbelief and mourning over what happened. Everyone is shocked, but a composed silence prevails, those unwilling to add unnecessary judgments or comments in the face of an event that has left everyone speechless. "It's a tragedy that affects the entire Bosa area," says former regional councilor Sergio Obinu.
