Carabinieri from Selargius and Quartu are conducting a thorough investigation after finding a bomb, likely dating back to the Second World War , abandoned on a low wall in a pedestrian street adjacent to Piazza Parrocchia in Quartucciu.

The military is trying to trace any images from cameras placed in the area, as well as obtaining any testimonies that could help clarify the incident.

The goal is to trace the person or people who abandoned the bomb on the wall and the reason why they did so.

The device will be detonated by the Carabinieri bomb squad in the next few days in an isolated area.
