According to Ansa, there is interest from the luxury hotel giant Four Seasons, controlled by Bill Gates with the participation of Saudi billionaire Al Waleed, in Silvio Berlusconi's retreat in Sardinia, of which Fininvest is evaluating the sale.
Emissaries of the hotel group, which manages over 100 hotels and resorts worldwide with over 40 thousand employees, have visited the historic summer residence of the Cav several times. Just recently the last inspection, the intent is to transform Villa Certosa into a super luxury residence to rent , even if its structure and access to the sea could complicate the plans.
The villa, estimated to be worth between 300 and 500 million , has also aroused the interest of the very rich Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkian , whose representatives have already visited it. Other interlocutors, mainly private, also showed interest in the complex which hosted the most powerful leaders in the world.
THE NOTE – In the evening, a note from Four Seasons was issued, according to which the hotel group «has not announced any involvement with the ownership of Villa Certosa in Sardinia. As a management company, we operate hotels and resorts on behalf of the owners." It is also added that «Italy is a fundamental market for our company and we constantly evaluate new projects with our development partners».
