Baunei, motorcyclist crashes on the guardrail: transported by helicopter to Nuoro

A Swiss motorcyclist crashed along the Eastern road, in the Baunei area.

The accident occurred shortly after noon today. The centaur lost control of the vehicle which fell on the side barriers.

Immediately rescued by friends, who were facing the hairpin bends of the state road with him, the motorcyclist was taken over by the 118 personnel who stabilized him pending the arrival of the Areus helicopter which took off from the Alghero base.

On board Echo Lima 2, the man was transported, in red code, to the San Francesco di Nuoro hospital. He suffered several injuries, including one to the head and one to the chest. His conditions are serious but his life is not in danger.
