It was not an accidental fall: Antonangelo Lecca was allegedly killed and thrown into the stream where he was found dead last Sunday.

This is what emerges from the first findings on the corpse of the 56-year-old who disappeared in early January in Barrali. The carabinieri of the Cagliari investigative unit then began to dig into the victim's past and to reconstruct all the relationships that the man had in the country while a file was opened with the hypothesis of voluntary murder by the deputy prosecutor Diana Lecca.

People who knew him speak of a reserved man. Ten years ago he had had problems with alleged mistreatment of his wife, but it is too distant a time for one to speak of a lead.

In the next few days, the Prosecutor's Office could also send RIS specialists to Barrali to examine the country building in which the 56-year-old lived, while little or nothing seems to have emerged from the ground near the spot where the body was found. A bicycle was also found not too far away, which suggested the accident.

The autopsy of the coroner Roberto Demontis, however, found three wounds and skull fractures on the head of the servant shepherd that are not compatible with the stones present in the area. So it was not a fall, but an assault with a fatal outcome.
