Barbagia, endless cuts to services: INPS closes in Gavoi after 35 years

In central Sardinia the service desertification campaign continues inexorably and unabated .

From tomorrow, March 1st, Gavoi will lose the INPS office after 35 years and for every application you will have to contact the Nuoro office.

The communication , without any warning, reached the mayor Salvatore Lai with an email from the pension institution.

The mayor is embittered and announces battle: «We had agreed a meeting in Gavoi with the INPS provincial director to relaunch the service provision phase, but instead a certified email arrives from the regional director to announce the closure of the INPS headquarters in Barbagia! With a simple bureaucratic act devoid of respect and attention to people, a very important service for our people is put to an end, especially the elderly ones who don't know about the web. But we are not there and we are preparing for a strong response."
