The arrival of autumn isn't enough to quell the danger that punctually presents itself every June in the countryside and forests of Sardinia.

Even today, the island trembled under the heat of the flames: 34 fires were recorded today in the region.

In four cases, it was necessary to deploy aircraft from the regional fire-fighting fleet .

The fire swept through rural and wooded areas, putting the Forestry Corps and volunteer teams deployed throughout the area on high alert.

A rural forest fire has hit the Badde Arozza area, in the Pozzomaggiore countryside . The flames were fought by helicopters from the Anela and Bosa bases, coordinated by the Bonorva Forestry Corps. On the ground, teams from the Forestas agency from the Thiesi-Su Padru and Giave-Cossoine construction sites responded.

A fire also broke out in the Nuraghe Mulineddu area, in the Sagama countryside . The Oschiri Forestry Corps coordinated the operations, supported by personnel from the Pattada Forestry Corps and a helicopter from Farcana. Two Forestas teams and the Barracelli di Oschiri teams were also present on the scene.

In the Bighizzi area of Suni, the flames required the intervention of the Fenosu helicopter and the Oristano forestry department. The operation, led by the Bosa Forestry Station, also involved Forestas teams from Scano Montiferro and the Barracellari companies from Suni and Modolo.

Finally, a large fire broke out in Fundalis, a rural area in the municipality of Nurri, in the Sarcidano region . Two helicopters, taking off from bases in Villasalto and Pula, supported the ground teams coordinated by the Isili Forestry Corps. Three Forestas teams from construction sites in Isili, Villanovatulo, and Barumini were also involved.
