The house confiscated in Arzana from the fugitive Attilio Cubeddu , a member of the Sardinian anonymous company and today in first place on the list of "most dangerous" wanted people, will become the headquarters of a new station of the Carabinieri .

The announcement comes directly from the Interior Ministry .

The building, a four-storey house in the center of the town , where the wife and daughter of the fugitive lived, perpetrator of serious criminal acts including the kidnapping of the entrepreneur Soffiantini and the murder of the State Police inspector Donatoni, it will therefore have a new and significant destination .

"A strong reaffirmation of the presence of the State , an act with a high symbolic value thanks to which an asset, the result of criminal profits, is thus returned to the community to host a new garrison of legality on the territory" the words of the Minister of the Interior Matteo Planted .

"This important result - underlines the ministry - is the result of the fruitful collaboration between the National Agency for the administration and destination of assets seized and confiscated from organized crime, the Prefecture of Nuoro, the Arma dei Carabinieri and the Agency of the state property".

THE STORY – Four years ago, the Cassation had confirmed the confiscation of the large house on four levels in the center of the town , after the preventive measure requested by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Rome and Cagliari.

Initially, the two district prosecutors had asked to take away from the fugitive's family the entire real estate assets as they had been accumulated with money from illegal activities.

Cubeddu's lawyers, however, had strongly opposed, managing to obtain the return of various assets. The large house in Arzana, however, is no exception.

According to the indictment, the building was built in the early 1980s , when , according to the indictment, some kidnappings were still taking place on the island .
