Further details are emerging regarding the arrest made in Arzachena by Carabinieri officers from the Olbia Territorial Unit, who detained a 25-year-old local man on charges of possession with intent to distribute narcotics . The young man allegedly picked up a package delivered to a locker in the Gallura town : inside were 57 blocks of hashish, weighing over 5 kilos . The officers, carrying out a surveillance operation, intervened immediately after the package was collected. Upon seeing the Carabinieri, the young man allegedly threw the package to the ground and attempted to flee, but was apprehended shortly thereafter.

The operation began yesterday during a surveillance operation . According to the reconstruction, the young man had just collected the package when he noticed the Carabinieri: at that point, he threw it to the ground and attempted to flee, but was immediately apprehended. Inside the package, the officers found over 5 kilos of hashish divided into 57 blocks . A subsequent house search yielded another 60 grams of marijuana and three precision scales, hidden in a closet behind a wardrobe.

Following the investigations, coordinated by the Tempio Pausania Public Prosecutor's Office, the young man was transferred to Nuchis prison to await the validation hearing.
