Arrested for drug dealing in Capoterra, a 30-year-old man returns to prison.

A thirty-year-old from Capoterra , already subject to the alternative measure of probation, had only 48 hours of remaining freedom. The Carabinieri tracked him down and took him to Uta prison , executing the court's order revoking the benefit and ordering his immediate return to custody.
The decision was prompted by an anti-drug operation conducted last Wednesday in the area. On that occasion, officers from the Operations Section and the Assemini Station, with the support of the Hunter Squadron and the Canine Unit, arrested the man red-handed for possession of drugs with intent to sell. During the house search, the thirty-year-old had attempted to dispose of twenty-five grams of hashish by throwing it out a window ; subsequent searches of the premises revealed additional small quantities of the same substance and marijuana.
Having assessed the seriousness of the conduct, which was deemed completely incompatible with continuing the rehabilitation program outside the penitentiary, the Judicial Authority ordered the reinstatement of the man's detention . Carabinieri from the Capoterra Station identified the man and, after completing the formalities, escorted him to the Uta Prison, where he remains at the disposal of the Judiciary.
