Arbatax, falls into the sea with the car: a pensioner is saved

He fell into the sea with his Renault Clio while passing on the edge of the shore quay of the port of Arbatax.

Around 19.30 a pensioner from Tortolì was saved by the timely intervention of two agents of La Nuova Vedetta in surveillance service on the south quay on behalf of Saipem. The 75-year-old man, who always remained alert and conscious although particularly cold, was transported to the emergency room of the Lanusei hospital for the necessary checks.

The personnel of the Coast Guard of Arbatax, under the command of vessel lieutenant Mattia Caniglia, the firefighters of Tortolì and the carabinieri of the Lanusei company worked on the spot. The small car will be recovered with the aid of a crane.
