Reports and seizures in the double intervention of the Forestry Corps of the Cagliari territorial service which identified two poachers.

In Pula , the staff of the local station caught a person intent on placing capture tools, specifically steel cables and snares, intended for the capture of wild boars, deer, hares and rabbits.

During the house search, further instruments were seized, as well as 40 birds (thrushes and robins) and two hares.

In Villasalto , in the Terrandora area, a patrol from the San Nicolò Gerrei station identified two traps in private land consisting of two large cages made with metal fencing and equipped with a door that is triggered by the entry of game (wild boars and deer). The entrance area to the cages had been strewn with almonds, to bring the wild animals closer. Once captured, the boar was killed. The two cages and the land were seized.

The person responsible, owner of the land, has been reported.

Both people, found to be in possession of a license to carry a rifle for hunting use, are under investigation for various crimes: the capture of prohibited species (robins), hunting with illegal tools, fowling and illegal foraging of wild animals. Criminal offenses punishable with imprisonment of up to one year and fines of up to 2500 euros.
