Anna Chessa is the new Miss World Sardinia. The twenty-year-old university student from Cagliari won the title at the regional final held Sunday evening in the evocative setting of De André's L'Agnata.
This success has earned her a pass to the national stage of the pageant, scheduled to begin June 3 in Gallipoli, where she will represent the island alongside other Sardinian finalists: Nicole Monni, Daiana Batzella, Asia Concas, Ilaria Adelina Mura, and Ginevra Stella De Petrini. The evening, attended by a large audience, was once again hosted by Anthony Peth, a well-known figure on national television. The event's host was Sofia Viola, 22, Miss World Italy 2025, elected last year in the Gallipoli final and set to represent Italy at the 75th edition of the pageant.
The winner expressed great emotion: "Winning this title is indescribable: a blend of happiness, gratitude, and disbelief. Carrying my homeland in my heart and representing it in Gallipoli is a great honor and a responsibility I face with pride. I will give my all to make Sardinia proud and live this unique experience to the fullest."
Alessia Ghisoni, a fashion entrepreneur and event organizer who has brought international events to the island over the years, expressed her satisfaction: "Everything was perfect. The final could only be held in a magical and evocative location like De André's L'Agnata. Thanks to Salvina Pinna for her hospitality, to Anthony Peth for hosting, and to all the professionals who worked on this project. I wish our girls a long journey in Gallipoli, but above all, I hope they enjoy this experience."
All eyes are now on the national final: a new challenge awaits Anna Chessa and the other Sardinian contestants, with the goal of raising the profile of Sardinia.
