The funeral of Tonino Corrias, the 59-year-old shot dead Thursday morning in front of his home in the town center, is taking place today in Oliena.

The ceremony is scheduled in the parish of Sant'Ignazio di Loyola at 3.30 pm.

Yesterday, in the meantime, an autopsy was carried out by the forensic doctor of Cagliari Matteo Nioi, and the body of the farmer, as ordered by the prosecutor of Nuoro Ireno Satta - owner of the investigation - was returned to the family. It will be necessary to wait 90 days for the outcome of the appraisal. What is clear for now is the fact that Corrias was hit from behind by a volley of buckshot: seven or eight shots heard from the neighbors and many shells recovered on the ground between Via Massaua and Depretis, where the ambush took place. .

The investigations continue at a rapid pace, also digging into the victim's past, already targeted in the past with two other episodes that occurred in 2001 and 2015, and verifying a hypothetical link with the bloody feud of Oliena which had caused seven deaths from 2001 to 2003. .

The carabinieri analyze the contents of the cameras in the Town Hall a few meters from the crime scene and other nearby buildings and the interrogations and checkpoints go on looking for some clue that can solve the case.
