Circumstantial evidence “changed favorably” for the suspect: this is one of the reasons for the revocation of the prison sentence for a 48-year-old man accused of raping his partner . The events occurred in Tempio at the beginning of the month and last Friday the Carabinieri proceeded to arrest the alleged perpetrator of the rape. The investigating judge of the Tempio Court Marcella Pinna, after having heard the man, ordered his release and signed an order that imposes the obligation for the suspect to reside in Sassari.

The provision talks about new elements that emerged from the interrogation. The man said that he had actually gone with his partner, a 40-year-old woman from Tempio, to a place in Limbara where he built a shack, but he spoke of consensual sexual relations and a subsequent argument over a sum of money. The version of the arrested person seems to be confirmed by some important evidence, at least as regards the circumstance of the alleged sexual violence.

But the Prosecutor's Office also contests the crime of robbery, for the attack on the woman with a knife. And on this point the prosecutor has several witnesses. The charges remain standing, but the defense, the lawyer Alberto Sechi, obtained the release of his client.
