He was arrested on charges of mistreatment of family members or cohabitants and aggravated trespassing. The incident occurred in Alghero late last Thursday evening, and the Carabinieri responded to the scene following a report to the emergency number 112.

The man, in a highly agitated state, was attempting to force his way into a home in the city center. Officers caught him climbing over the fence into the home's garden, damaging some objects and plants while attempting to force his parents' door open. Terrified, they had taken refuge inside the house, fearing their son's attack.

The man was arrested and taken to the police station, where it was determined that he had a criminal record: he had previously been responsible for violent incidents against his parents. Pending validation of the arrest, the man was ordered to stay within 500 meters of his parents.
