Not only the patients left on the ambulances in front of the emergency rooms , in Cagliari - according to the CGIL and the territorial public function - the problems that are announced can turn into real "disasters" in the health sector.
“ From the company documents of Asl 8 and Brotzu we learn that, based on the directives of the regional health department, some structures and, in particular, the spinal unit will be transferred from the first to the second company ”, reads a note.
"Delicate passages - underline CGIL and FP - on which there is certainly no a priori judgment but a concern on the modalities and on the very feasibility of the transfers and, more generally, on what the overall design is and on the basis of which criteria these decisions are made . "The hope - underlined the CGIL Cagliari secretary Simona Fanzecco and the territorial secretary FP Nicola Cabras - is that clarity will be clarified as soon as possible , also due to the inevitable repercussions that these choices have on the community and on workers".
Other decisions, recalls the union, have already created many difficulties: such as the unification of Microcitemico first with Brotzu and then with ASL 8 , "according to criteria that did not put patients' health and care needs at the center".
In particular, "the discussion today focuses on possible steps backwards with respect to the spin-off of that hospital but attention is not focused on the central theme, that of investments, resources, the functionality of the structure which, in fact, neither when it was at Brotzu , nor now, is it able to give adequate answers to the community”.
CGIL and FP then draw attention to the need to “clarify what the intentions are with respect to the framework of the reorganization that is taking shape in Cagliari health care, also to avoid cold mergers which then only create disservices. It is no coincidence that the union shines a light on the broader perspectives of city and territorial hospitals: Marino , for example, what will happen to it? What human and instrumental resources will be allocated to Binaghi, to the Muravera hospital, to that of Isili? How to enhance the Microcitemico and relaunch the oncological? ”.
"We need to pay close attention - add Fanzecco and Cabras - to how and why the balance of territorial health shifts, to how and why resources are divided and for what reasons high specializations are delivered to one structure rather than another" .
