After the rain, strong winds with gale force strength (and a storm in the east) are expected. According to the new bulletin from the Sardinian Regional Civil Protection Department, starting tomorrow morning (February 11) , "westerly winds, locally reaching gale force strength, are expected on the northern and eastern coasts, as well as on the ridges." These winds will ease by the evening.
On Thursday (12 February) there will be a new and more marked "intensification of winds across the whole island which will be strong from the north-west, up to gale force over large coastal areas, and locally up to storm force on the eastern coasts and on the ridges".
Furthermore, as an obvious consequence, "there will be storm surges on exposed coasts. These phenomena will ease from Friday morning."
