Breath to the horns. First at BatorSax, four saxophonists who will perform on Wednesday at 7pm at the "Canepa" in Sassari as part of "The Conservatory's Wednesdays"; then, on Friday, again at 7pm, at the Conservatory Brass Band. Both events are free and open to entry.
BatorSax is made up of Edoardo Rosa (soprano sax), Giuseppe Bussu (alto sax), Gianluca Deiana (tenor sax) and Francesco Scognamillo (baritone sax). The program includes pieces by Eugène Bozza, Jean Francaix, Jerome Naulais, Giancarlo Zedde, Javier Girotto and, in the world premiere, “The tree of life”, by Dario Sanna.
Two days later space for the Conservatory Brass Band directed by Lorenzo Pusceddu: 26 elements including trumpets, horns, euphonium, trombones, tubas and the percussion section on the stage of the Sassu hall for the final concert of a project born with the aim of involving all the brass classes of Canepa. The chosen repertoire starts from ancient music to arrive at the music of today, without forgetting some cornerstones of brass literature.
